Out of everything I’ve taught my dog, this is one of the most useful day to day. I can confidently walk with him offlead through fields and know that he can hear the whistle when my voice might not carry. The other benefit is the whistle sounds the same every time even if you’re perhaps a bit worried about them running off into the distance which might lead to your shouting in a less than calm way.
